New Song Demo – No Way Out – DanLynch.org

Hi everyone, I’m back! And faster than I expected. Today I want to share with you a work-in-progress song from the new album I’m writing. It’s not 100 percent finished but it’s at least 95 percent done and I thought I’d post it so you can listen to it.

The song in question is entitled “No Way Out” and it’s completely new. I wrote and recorded it early last year, while I was discussing my musical plans here. I play all the instruments and mix it myself.

You can press play above to listen to this new song. The part I wasn’t 100 percent happy with was the vocals. They are a bit dry and could use some effects, I also think I could do a better performance so maybe re-record them. For those interested in the technical side, this was all recorded and produced Reaperwith several VST plugins and other tools. The drums come from Flow Agent. It sounds natural enough and I’m happy with it, but recording drums is still a challenge for me with my current setup.

I released this song below Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike Non Commercial 4.0 International License. Why Non Commercial I hear you cry, this is not a free cultural license! Yes, I accept that, but for now I want to limit anyone using this for TV ads, I don’t think I know that, but it’s still a valid concern.

I have 9 more songs in various stages of completion and my rough plan is to keep working on them and hopefully (that’s the key word here) release a new album by Band camp at the end of the year.
